Large slum areas in a metropolitan city are the root cause of a tremendous increase in population. Being a responsible member of the society what measures would you like to take to reduce this problem.

We should tackle the problem at the village level by providing opportunities and amenities similar to those in a city so that the people do not have to leave their homes in villages in the hope of better prospects to cities. Education, medical facilities, and jobs are the three basic necessities which brings people from their villages to cities . When immigrants come to cities, everything is so costly that they cannot even afford a comfortable place to live in, thus adding on to the population of slums which are unhygienic due to lack of basic water and sanitation facilities.
